If it is our first time delivering to your property, yes. For repeat customers we can discuss delivery arrangements over the phone and often we can leave the logs in a pre-agreed location if required.
We will aim to deliver at a time that suits you. We will always phone in advance and agree a delivery slot.
Logs are loaded loose onto the back of our pickup vehicles. On delivery, logs are tipped onto the ground.
The process of air drying is much more environmentally friendly than kiln-drying as no fossil fuels are burnt to dry the timber out. However, it takes a lot longer for the moisture content to reach below 20% so our timber might spend two years drying out before being delivered to customers.
Ready to Burn is the assurance scheme regulating woodfuel suppliers in line with the Air Quality (Domestic Solid Fuels Standards) (England) Regulations 2020
